Omni Agri Resources
Omni Agri Resources was founded in 2004 when it merged with its predecessor MORAM to develop a state-of-the-art ammonia and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) complex in Trinidad and Tobago. Today, Omni Agri Resources is a closely held, family-owned business. It is the parent company of Omni Sulphur, Omni Agri Trade Group and several other entities.
Omni Agri Resources offers a full range of project development services including: business plan creation, negotiation of site leases, management of the entire engineering and construction phases, development of complex financial models, equity fund raising, financial advisory, legal documentation, government relations.
Omni Agri Resources’ first sulphur project was the development, construction, and operation of a 60,000 tpy sulphur bentonite facility in Texas, USA for Moore Agricultural Products, a California based fertilizer company. This production facility was developed utilizing knowledge obtained from individuals who would later be an integral part of the formation of Omni Sulphur.
Omni Agri Resources most recent project is the development of a renewable fuels manufacturing facility to be located in California. Start-up for this facility is scheduled to be 3rd quarter 2009.
Omni Sulphur
Under the Omni Agri Resources umbrella, Omni Sulphur, LLC was formed in late 2006 to consolidate its fast growing sulphur business. The mission of Omni Sulphur is to leverage marketing and technical expertise into the expansion of the use as well as production of sulphur bentonite fertilizers internationally. Omni Sulphur’s principals together have over 50 years of experience in the global sulphur industry.
The first project developed by Omni Sulphur professionals is a 30,000 tpy manufacturing facility located in Mumbai, India. This facility is operating successfully and is complete.
Following the successful start-up of the project in India, Omni Sulphur designed, engineered and will commission a 60,000 tpy sulphur bentonite manufacturing facility in Fujairah, UAE. This facility is currently under construction and is scheduled to be started up in the second quarter, 2009.
In addition to the above projects, Omni Sulphur currently has three letters of intent in place for new sulphur bentonite projects located in Oman, Turkey, and Brazil.
In January 2009, Omni Sulphur was awarded an EPC contract as well as a plant operating contract for a 600 tpd sulphur forming facility by a major refiner in the United States. Start-up time is scheduled for May 2009.
Omni Agri Trade Group
Omni Agri Trade Group was established in 2008 when it purchased the sulphur bentonite manufacturing facility in Texas from Moore Agricultural Products. Omni Agri Trade Group manufactures and markets sulphur bentonite and sulphur micronutrients domestically and utilizes resources from Omni Sulphur for international sales.
In addition to the sulphur bentonite business, Omni Agri Trade Group also purchased a retail fertilizer operation (also in Texas), and acts as the exclusive marketing arm for Moore Agricultural Products line of liquid and soluble specialty fertilizer products across the United States and Mexico.
BDH Resources
BDH Resources is developing a biodiesel plant in California using waste oils, tallows and other non-edible fats as feedstock. The facility is expected to start-up in the 3rd quarter of 2009.
